About the Role

Omega Healthcare is seeking an experienced Process Coach – Coding to support, guide, and develop medical coding teams with a focus on quality, compliance, and performance enhancement. This role is ideal for coding professionals with strong expertise in E/M (Evaluation and Management) coding and proven experience in training and coaching.


Key Responsibilities

Training & Coaching

  • Train new joiners on medical coding concepts, coding guidelines, and documentation standards.

  • Educate teams on client-specific requirements, coding protocols, and updates.

  • Conduct structured feedback sessions and periodic performance evaluations.

  • Deliver targeted coaching sessions for recurring errors and improvement areas.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track trainee productivity and quality output as per OJT glide path and ramp-up expectations.

  • Provide regular insights to Team Leads on trainee performance, quality, and readiness for confirmation.

  • Communicate QC feedback clearly and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain strong understanding of process quality requirements and performance targets.

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, accuracy benchmarks, and client guidelines.

  • Keep the team updated on the latest developments in coding practices and regulatory changes.


Job Specifications & Experience Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Medical Coding.

  • Strong expertise in E/M (Evaluation and Management) coding.

  • Proven experience in training, coaching, and team development.

  • Ability to deliver structured learning programs with varied training strategies.

Required Certifications

  • CPC, CCS, COC, AHIMA or equivalent recognized coding certifications.

Educational Qualification

  • Any graduate degree.
