Position Overview
Omega Healthcare is seeking a Process Coach – Coding to lead, train, and mentor medical coding professionals in our Bengaluru office. The Process Coach will ensure coding quality, productivity, and adherence to client specifications while developing the next generation of coding experts. This role requires in-depth knowledge of coding guidelines, home health medical coding, and strong coaching experience.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and communicate quality requirements from both process and target perspectives.
Train new joiners on medical coding concepts, client-specific guidelines, and industry standards.
Monitor trainee productivity and quality output according to OJT glide paths and ramp-up targets.
Provide structured, continuous feedback to trainees to improve performance and minimize errors.
Educate trainees on client specifications, coding updates, and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct one-on-one sessions to address repeated errors and improve individual performance.
Relay quality control feedback effectively to trainees and Team Leads.
Assist Team Leads in early confirmation of trainees by providing performance insights.
Implement coaching strategies and training plans to enhance team capability.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in medical coding, preferably in Home Health specialty.
Demonstrated coaching and training experience in a coding or clinical documentation environment.
Certified Medical Coder: CPC, CCS, COC, or AHIMA certification required.
Strong knowledge of medical coding standards, documentation guidelines, and compliance requirements.
Any graduate degree is acceptable.
Skills & Competencies
Expertise in process improvement, productivity management, and quality control.
Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to effectively train and guide trainees.
Ability to analyze errors, provide actionable feedback, and implement corrective actions.
Familiarity with CRM, MIS, BPO operations, and project management tools.
Commitment to maintaining high-quality coding standards and compliance with client requirements.
