Job Overview
Omega Healthcare is hiring a Senior Coder responsible for managing day-to-day medical coding activities related to patient charts and diagnosis reports.
The role involves coding and auditing medical records, maintaining production targets, and ensuring compliance with client requirements and company policies. The Senior Coder will work closely with team leads, handle reporting, and support operational efficiency in revenue cycle processes.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Coding & Auditing
Perform coding or auditing of patient charts based on project requirements.
Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
Ensure compliance with client specifications and coding guidelines.
Production & Workflow Management
Update and clear production and pending reports.
Meet daily and monthly productivity targets.
Maintain consistent workflow and task completion.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and maintain production and performance reports.
Review emails regularly for updates and process changes.
Ensure proper documentation of coding activities.
Issue Identification & Escalation
Identify issues or discrepancies in coding tasks.
Escalate concerns to the immediate supervisor when required.
Ensure timely resolution of operational challenges.
Team Collaboration & Compliance
Work closely with team leaders and operations teams.
Follow company policies and procedures strictly.
Apply client instructions and updates during production.
Required Skills
