About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically driven Regional Medical Advisor to support regional medical affairs strategy, scientific stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based healthcare initiatives within a leading pharmaceutical organization. This role is ideal for medical professionals with expertise in medical affairs, scientific communications, KOL engagement, therapeutic education, and clinical stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will act as the scientific representative for the assigned region, translating national medical strategy into impactful local initiatives while strengthening scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and supporting patient-centered therapeutic excellence.

This opportunity is particularly well suited for professionals with experience in diabetes, metabolic disorders, or related therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Medical Affairs Strategy Execution

  • Implement regional medical affairs strategies aligned with national medical objectives and therapeutic priorities.
  • Translate strategic medical plans into measurable regional initiatives, timelines, and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Support patient-centered medical activities that align with scientific, clinical, and business objectives.
  • Monitor execution effectiveness and recommend strategic improvements where needed.

KOL Engagement & Scientific Stakeholder Management

  • Build, nurture, and maintain strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), diabetes specialists, and relevant medical stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary scientific face of the organization for assigned territories.
  • Facilitate evidence-based scientific exchange and peer-to-peer clinical discussions with medical experts.
  • Support therapeutic advocacy through meaningful scientific engagement and education.

Clinical Insights & Medical Intelligence Gathering

  • Attend scientific meetings, healthcare engagements, and clinical discussions to gather actionable medical insights.
  • Monitor treatment trends, clinical practice patterns, unmet medical needs, and evolving therapeutic landscapes.
  • Synthesize external medical intelligence and communicate insights to internal cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.

Medical Education & Scientific Training

  • Design and deliver scientific training, medical education initiatives, and therapeutic knowledge sessions for healthcare professionals and internal teams.
  • Ensure accurate, compliant, and up-to-date dissemination of clinical evidence and product-related scientific information.
  • Strengthen internal medical and commercial understanding of therapeutic areas and treatment paradigms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Commercial Support

  • Partner with marketing, sales, medical, and internal business teams to support product strategy, positioning, and scientific alignment.
  • Provide medical input to help refine brand strategies, anticipate market changes, and improve healthcare engagement effectiveness.
  • Support product lifecycle initiatives with scientifically grounded medical expertise.

Scientific Advisory & Medical Support

  • Provide expert medical guidance on clinical data interpretation, product information, therapeutic positioning, and disease management topics.
  • Support internal stakeholders with evidence-based scientific consultation and medical query resolution.
  • Ensure scientific communication remains accurate, balanced, and compliant with ethical standards.

Compliance & Governance

  • Conduct all medical affairs activities in alignment with applicable regulations, organizational policies, and healthcare compliance frameworks.
  • Maintain high standards of scientific integrity, ethical engagement, and responsible medical communication.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Regional Medical Advisory, or pharmaceutical scientific engagement roles.
  • Strong understanding of diabetes, metabolic disorders, clinical therapeutics, and evidence-based healthcare communication.
  • Proven expertise in KOL engagement, scientific communication, stakeholder management, and medical education delivery.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data effectively to medical audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking, project execution, strategic planning, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • High ethical standards and strong understanding of compliance-driven medical engagement practices.
