Job Opportunity: Medical Scribe at Scribe-X

Compensation

  • $11/hour: No prior scribe experience
  • $12/hour: 6+ months scribe experience
  • $14-17/hour: Lead scribe (1+ year scribe experience required)
  • Additional Pay: $1/hour for fluent Spanish-speaking candidates

Key Responsibilities

Patient Encounter Support

  • Accompany providers (virtually) during patient visits to document real-time patient interactions.
  • Record patient history, physical exams, procedures, and provider-recommended plans of care.

Administrative Tasks

  • Prepare charts in advance of patient visits.
  • Document and track quality metrics to meet healthcare standards.
  • Input lab and radiology orders, medications, and patient instructions as dictated by the provider.

Provider Collaboration

  • Review completed charts with the provider to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Update provider preferences to streamline workflows.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (GPA of 3.0+).
  • Alternate Path: 1+ year of full-time experience as a scribe if no degree.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written English communication.
  • Proficiency with computers and quick adaptability to new software.
  • Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
  • Healthcare-related coursework or career focus (e.g., pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing) is highly preferred.
