Role Overview
The PV Systems Specialist supports the implementation, configuration, maintenance, migration, reporting, and operational support of Pharmacovigilance (PV) systems such as Argus, ARISg, and Veeva Safety.
The role combines technical system support with pharmacovigilance business knowledge to ensure smooth operation of safety databases, data migrations, reporting activities, ticket management, and user support.
This position serves as a key operational resource supporting global drug safety projects and regulatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Safety System Configuration & Administration
Configure project-specific settings within safety systems.
Maintain system configuration documentation.
Implement system updates and changes.
Support system setup activities for new projects.
System Support & User Assistance
Provide technical support to users and sponsors.
Resolve routine system issues and user queries.
Support ticket management and issue tracking.
Escalate complex system issues when required.
Reporting & Data Extraction
Generate standard and ad-hoc reports.
Perform routine data extractions for:
PSUR (Periodic Safety Update Reports)
DSUR (Development Safety Update Reports)
Six-Monthly Listings
Regulatory Reporting Activities
Ensure accuracy and completeness of extracted data.
Data Migration Support
Participate in safety database migration projects.
Support migration testing and validation activities.
Maintain migration documentation.
Assist in data reconciliation and verification.
Testing & Validation
Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Document testing results and defects.
Verify system functionality after changes.
Support validation-related activities.
Training & Change Management
Assist in system training activities.
Support change management initiatives.
Train team members on system functionality.
Develop user guidance and support materials.
Mailbox & Ticket Management
Monitor support mailboxes.
Respond to system-related queries.
Track issue resolution timelines.
Ensure timely closure of support requests.
Quality & Compliance
Follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain high-quality standards for all deliverables.
Stay updated on Pharmacovigilance regulations.
Support audit and compliance activities when required.
