About the Job:

Mantell Associates is currently partnering with a top 5 Immunoassay organization in the U.S. to find a Sales Representative III based in San Diego.

Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Cold-call prospects generated by external lead sources.
  • Identify sales opportunities by researching and pinpointing potential accounts for Business Developers.
  • Deliver qualified opportunities to team members.
  • Ensure follow-up by passing leads to the appropriate team members with actionable items, deadlines, complete profiles, and source details.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategic sales approaches.
  • Maintain and expand the company's prospect database.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via phone and email.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into leads for Business Developers.
  • Enter new customer data and update existing account information in the corporate database.
  • Prepare sales and business development reports.
  • Attend periodic sales training sessions as applicable.
  • Communicate the brand identity and corporate position effectively.

Sales Representative Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of Biomarker Sales experience in the San Diego region.
  • University or college degree in marketing, business, medical, or clinical research-related disciplines, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of direct work experience in a sales capacity.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
  • Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Remote position, but willingness to travel to customers weekly is required.
