As a Scientific Writer, you will play a key role in developing high-quality medical education and publication content that supports global medical, commercial, and R&D teams. Your work will directly contribute to advancing science, improving patient outcomes, and expanding access to innovative treatments worldwide.
You will be part of Sanofi Business Operations (SBO), a centralized global organization supporting Medical, HEVA, Commercial, and R&D, Data & Digital functions. SBO acts as a strategic partner, delivering high-impact medical and scientific communication solutions across multiple therapeutic areas and global business units.
Create specialized scientific and medical content with limited supervision
Develop end-to-end publication and medical education materials, including slide decks, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
Support documentation, review, and approval workflows using systems such as PromoMats and iEnvision (Datavision/MATRIX)
Build and maintain strong therapeutic area expertise
Work closely with internal peers and cross-functional teams to establish best practices
Maintain effective relationships with global medical and scientific stakeholders
Interact with healthcare professionals for publication-related content development
Support and mentor fellow writers through knowledge sharing and subject matter expertise
Deliver publication and medical education materials within agreed timelines and quality standards
Provide strategic publication support by collaborating with institutions and subject matter experts
Assist in publication planning and publication-need analysis for assigned regions
Develop complex medical communication deliverables aligned with publication plans
Collaborate with scientific communication teams, Product Managers, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), and medical departments
Coordinate with regional vendors to ensure timely and compliant deliverables
Incorporate end-user feedback to continuously improve content quality and delivery
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in scientific or medical content creation within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or academic environment
Education: Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline; Medical degree preferred
Languages: Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Exposure to therapeutic area research and scientific publications
Knowledge of publication submission processes and medical compliance standards
Project management skills for managing multiple deliverables and timelines
Familiarity with global publication planning and medical education frameworks
