Thermo Fisher Scientific Hiring: Senior Clinical Data Team Lead

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring an experienced Senior Clinical Data Team Lead to join its Clinical Data Management team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex clinical studies, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to high-quality clinical research supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead data management activities for one or more clinical projects.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and clients.

  • Monitor study progress, analyze project metrics, and escalate risks when required.

  • Prepare and present project status reports for management and clients.

  • Lead high-volume and complex clinical studies while ensuring quality, timelines, and budget compliance.

  • Coordinate project planning, resource forecasting, and budget oversight.

  • Identify out-of-scope activities and support contract modification processes.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members on clinical data management processes.

  • Ensure compliance with study protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate project updates and data management activities with internal stakeholders.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant clinical data management experience.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and directly related experience may also be considered.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Clinical Data Management processes and regulatory guidelines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior professionals.

  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

  • High level of confidentiality when handling clinical and proprietary data.

  • Experience with project planning, resource management, and timeline tracking.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based work environment.

  • Occasional domestic and international travel as required.

  • Limited travel to study site locations.
