Job Overview
ICON is actively hiring a Senior Clinical Python Programmer to support advanced data science initiatives in clinical trials. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who can lead clinical data programming, develop scalable data pipelines, and generate high-quality analytical outputs that support evidence-based decision-making in clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development and implementation of clinical data science and analytics solutions
Manage data programming activities, including data pipeline development and maintenance
Deliver visualized analytical outputs for clinical trial data interpretation
Support system deployment, lifecycle management, and continuous improvements
Enhance reporting efficiency and contribute to analytics platform optimization
Work across cross-functional teams in a matrix organizational structure
Utilize expertise in clinical data, reporting tools, and system infrastructures
Ensure efficient change management and reporting accuracy in regulated environments
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience in clinical data programming, business analysis, or data warehousing within clinical trial environments
Strong programming expertise in Python, including libraries such as Pandas and PySpark
Advanced understanding of SDTM data structures and clinical data standards
Experience in data mapping and therapeutic domain knowledge preferred
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as TIBCO Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
Hands-on experience with Databricks is an advantage
Ability to gather business requirements and prepare user requirement documentation
Strong analytical thinking and ability to work independently on complex assignments
