Senior Clinical Site Lead – NY/NJ (Abbott, USA)

Job Summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Clinical Site Lead to oversee and optimize clinical trial operations across cardiovascular therapy areas including Vascular, EP, Structural Heart, and Heart Failure. Based in NY/NJ and part of a highly visible clinical affairs team, this field-facing role ensures site compliance, drives recruitment success, and supports study execution from start-up through close-out. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain clinical sites to meet start-up and enrollment goals

  • Ensure investigator qualification, training, and compliance with protocol and GCP

  • Facilitate site startup activities, including qualification, training, and regulatory submissions

  • Execute territory-level strategies for study enrollment, performance, and compliance

  • Review and resolve data discrepancies, protocol deviations, and adverse events

  • Conduct monitoring visits including site initiation, routine, and close-out

  • Support clinical procedures and provide technical guidance to sites as needed

  • Act as a regional resource for technical and clinical expertise

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to organizational projects and Therapy Councils

  • Collaborate with internal Abbott teams (e.g., contracts, operations, sales)

  • Identify site-level trends and proactively optimize performance


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree with 13+ years of relevant clinical experience

  • Minimum 7 years of clinical trial or cardiovascular clinical operations experience

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, and site compliance metrics

  • Ability to manage multiple complex studies across diverse sites

  • Expertise in cath lab or OR protocols preferred

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and mentorship skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including international assignments
