Role Overview
Lilly is seeking a Senior Consultant – HEOR Project Management to support the execution and management of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) projects. This role is critical in aligning HEOR project portfolios with strategic Health Outcomes Research Plans (HORPs), ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to quality standards. The consultant will collaborate cross-functionally with core team leaders, scientists, business partners, and leadership to optimize project execution and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Align HEOR deliverables with HORPs and broader molecule/PLI strategies.

  • Facilitate change management processes to manage scope, timelines, and budget.

  • Provide strategic and tactical updates to HEOR Operations Steering Team.

  • Support annual business planning, quarterly forecasting, and integrated budget development (minimum 8-quarter horizon).

Project & Portfolio Execution

  • Manage HEOR project execution, tracking timelines, milestones, budgets, and compliance.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners.

  • Support HEOR contracting, TPO assessments, and variance reporting.

  • Lead HEOR critical chain planning, scheduling, and progress alignment.

Process Improvement & Shared Learning

  • Serve as SME for HEOR project management process optimization.

  • Lead after-action reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Capture and share lessons learned across HEOR projects and teams.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships across functions.

  • Influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive results.

  • Mentor and coach team members on project management best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or MBA with 7–10 years of project management experience.

  • Applied knowledge of project management tools and frameworks (PMBOK, critical chain, Planisware/BCM).

  • Strong communication skills for translating complex scientific and operational information.

  • Experience in cross-functional project management, HEOR technical knowledge preferred.

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification, PMP certification, or advanced project management qualifications preferred.
