Overview:
Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager – Global HEOR Value Writing Leader to head a team of value writing professionals supporting global market access and reimbursement efforts. This operational and strategic leadership role focuses on ensuring timely, high-quality development of payer-relevant materials like Global Value Dossiers (GVDs), AMCP dossiers, HTA briefing books, and scientific publications. The role reports to the Global Head of HTA Strategy & Project Management and partners closely with HEOR Product Leads across multiple therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Global HEOR Value Writers.

  • Oversee the development, review, and quality control of GVDs, AMCP dossiers, early HTA materials, and peer-reviewed publications.

  • Ensure alignment with product strategies and deliverables timelines.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on HTA and payer-relevant documents.

  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and turnaround.

  • Support team recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and development.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, publication, and quality standards.

Basic Qualifications:
One of the following educational and experience combinations in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy, Biostatistics, Life Sciences, or a related field:

  • Doctorate degree + 2 years of relevant HEOR/medical/regulatory writing experience OR

  • Master’s degree + 8–10 years of experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree + 10–14 years of experience OR

  • Diploma + 14–18 years of experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of team management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience developing GVDs, AMCP dossiers, and HTA-related content in pharma, biotech, or consulting.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of global HTA processes, payer expectations, and value communication.

  • Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Good Publication Practice and publication processes.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and reference management tools (e.g., EndNote).

  • Ability to tailor messaging for diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience leveraging AI to streamline writing and content creation.

  • Comfortable leading a distributed, cross-cultural team across time zones.
