About the Role

The Senior Specialist – Scientific Communications & Medical Information plays a critical role in transforming complex scientific data into clear, credible, and compliant medical insights that support healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes. This position sits within a global medical affairs environment and contributes directly to product launches, evidence dissemination, congress support, and ongoing medical information services.

The role requires strong scientific acumen, operational excellence, and the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, balanced, and regulatorily compliant medical content.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Content Development and Review

  • Develop, review, and maintain high-quality medical and scientific content, including scientific narratives, medical information responses, FAQs, visual data assets, MSL materials, and congress-related deliverables

  • Ensure all content is scientifically accurate, balanced, evidence-based, and compliant with internal policies and global regulations

Medical Information Services

  • Provide accurate, timely, and scientifically sound responses to unsolicited medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals

  • Support the appropriate and safe use of company products through compliant medical communication

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with global medical affairs, regulatory, legal, compliance, commercial, and digital teams to align content with strategic priorities

  • Ensure consistency across therapeutic areas, products, and communication channels

Evidence Generation and Data Translation

  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to identify relevant clinical and scientific evidence

  • Translate complex clinical data into clear, audience-appropriate messaging for diverse stakeholders

Medical Accuracy and Compliance

  • Perform medical accuracy reviews to ensure scientific integrity, fair balance, and regulatory compliance

  • Maintain alignment with global standards and frameworks, including FDA, EMA, EFPIA, and IFPMA guidelines

Operational Excellence and Innovation

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of medical content workflows, quality metrics, and turnaround timelines

  • Support the implementation of digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance scientific communication reach and efficiency

  • Track and report key operational KPIs and performance metrics

Strategic Support and Leadership

  • Support product launches, data updates, and scientific congress activities with timely and high-impact deliverables

  • Lead or contribute to key initiatives related to scientific communications, medical information, or digital innovation based on experience level


Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in scientific communications, medical information, medical affairs, or related roles within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry

Core Skills and Competencies

  • Strong experience with medical information systems and content management platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, inquiry management tools, reference management software)

  • Solid understanding of global regulatory, compliance, and fair balance requirements for medical communications

  • Experience supporting scientific congresses, symposia, and data dissemination activities

  • Ability to design, review, or oversee scientific visuals, infographics, and digital content

  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, global environments


Work Model

This role follows a hybrid working model, with an expectation of working from the office approximately three days per week, balanced with flexibility to support individual needs while enabling strong collaboration and innovation.
