Specialist – Solution Architect
Job Summary
Amgen is seeking a Solution Architect Specialist to drive the design and delivery of cutting-edge data solutions for functional groups like R&D, Operations, and GCO. This Hyderabad-based role involves leveraging AWS, Databricks, Python, and Spark to optimize large-scale data architectures. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement scalable data analytic solutions on AWS and Databricks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, Program Management, and Engineering.
Optimize data pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks technologies.
Define data platform guidelines, standards, and security policies.
Ensure data solutions meet scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency targets.
Oversee the Enterprise Data Platform and ensure adherence to SLAs.
Conduct technology evaluations and drive adoption of emerging data tools.
Align data architecture strategies with enterprise-level technology leaders.
Support SAFe Agile/Scrum development models in delivering data-driven solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Master’s with 7–11 years or Bachelor’s with 8–13 years in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
Must-Have Skills:
7+ years in Data Integration, Data Management, BI technology stacks.
Expertise in AWS Data Lake, Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake.
Strong coding experience with Python, PySpark, SQL.
Familiarity with BI tools: Tableau, PowerBI.
Demonstrated ability to optimize scalable data workflows and solutions.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience in life sciences, technology, or consulting architecture roles.
Certifications: AWS Certified Data Engineer, Databricks Certified.
Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
Strong verbal and written communication.
High initiative and self-motivation.
Team collaboration in global and virtual environments.
