Job Overview
Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an experienced Specialty Care Advisor – Oncology to drive product awareness, build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and achieve sales objectives within the Ahmedabad territory. This field-based role focuses on promoting oncology and immuno-oncology therapies while collaborating with oncologists, hospitals, and medical institutions to improve patient access to innovative treatments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong territory management skills, a consistent sales track record, and the ability to engage with key opinion leaders across corporate and government healthcare institutions.

Key Responsibilities

Territory Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and evaluate sales potential across healthcare providers within the assigned territory.

  • Promote and sell the company’s oncology product portfolio to achieve defined sales targets.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze new business opportunities to expand market presence.

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with oncologists, hospital departments, and medical institutions.

Customer Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Engage with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to promote scientific understanding of oncology therapies.

  • Maintain regular contact with hospitals, academic institutions, and local medical organizations.

  • Support hospital formulary inclusion processes to facilitate product adoption within healthcare facilities.

Scientific Promotion and Market Development

  • Plan and conduct scientific meetings, educational programs, and seminars with oncologists and healthcare professionals.

  • Organize and participate in industry events, trade exhibitions, and conferences to enhance product awareness.

  • Increase awareness of immuno-oncology therapies through educational and scientific engagement activities.

Territory and Sales Operations Management

  • Manage territory operations through effective time management, record keeping, and resource utilization.

  • Maintain Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) parameters in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Track sales performance and market trends to optimize territory strategies.

Compliance and Safety Reporting

  • Ensure all promotional activities comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

  • Report safety information and adverse events in accordance with Bristol Myers Squibb standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in Oncology sales within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Demonstrated consistent sales performance and strong market understanding.

  • Experience engaging with key opinion leaders and oncology specialists.

  • Exposure to working with corporate hospitals and government healthcare accounts.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Excellent territory management and strategic sales planning skills.

  • Good understanding of oncology therapeutics and immuno-oncology products.
