Job Overview
Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an experienced Specialty Care Advisor to support its oncology portfolio in the Ahmedabad territory. This field-based position focuses on promoting oncology products, building strategic relationships with healthcare professionals, and expanding the company’s presence in the regional oncology market.

The role requires strong scientific knowledge, effective communication with oncologists and hospital stakeholders, and the ability to drive territory growth by promoting innovative immuno-oncology therapies.

Key Responsibilities

Oncology Product Promotion and Sales Execution
Promote and increase awareness of BMS oncology therapies within the assigned territory.
Achieve defined sales targets by effectively communicating product value and clinical benefits to healthcare professionals.
Identify and evaluate the sales potential of customers within the assigned territory.

Territory and Account Management
Develop and execute territory strategies to identify new business opportunities and strengthen market presence.
Maintain strong relationships with oncologists, hospital administrators, and key healthcare stakeholders.
Ensure efficient territory management through proper time management, resource utilization, and accurate record keeping.

Healthcare Professional Engagement
Build and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders, oncologists, and medical professionals.
Collaborate with academic institutions, hospitals, and medical organizations to strengthen scientific engagement.
Support the process of hospital formulary inclusion to ensure product availability and usage.

Scientific Meetings and Educational Programs
Plan and organize scientific meetings, seminars, and educational programs with oncologists and healthcare professionals.
Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance product visibility and company reputation.

Sales Performance and Compliance
Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to expand the oncology portfolio within the territory.
Maintain Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) parameters in accordance with company guidelines.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Pharmacovigilance and Safety Reporting
Report safety information, including adverse events, in accordance with Bristol Myers Squibb pharmacovigilance procedures and standard operating practices.

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of oncology therapies and pharmaceutical sales practices.
Proven ability to build long-term professional relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills for identifying market opportunities and tracking sales performance.
Ability to work independently in a field-based role while maintaining collaboration with internal teams.

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience Requirements
Minimum 5–8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with significant exposure to oncology products.
Consistent sales performance and proven ability to achieve territory sales targets.
Experience working with oncology thought leaders and healthcare institutions.
Strong understanding of corporate hospitals, oncology departments, and government healthcare accounts.

Language Requirements
Fluency in English and Hindi is required to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.

Work Environment and Travel Requirements
This is a field-based role that requires regular travel within the assigned territory to meet healthcare professionals, attend medical meetings, and support commercial activities.
