Job Overview
Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an experienced Specialty Care Advisor to support its oncology portfolio in the Kolkata territory. This field-based role focuses on promoting oncology products, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and driving business growth within the assigned region.

The Specialty Care Advisor will engage with oncologists, hospital stakeholders, and healthcare organizations to increase awareness of innovative oncology therapies. The role requires strong territory management skills, strategic sales planning, and the ability to communicate scientific information effectively to healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Oncology Product Promotion and Sales Execution
Promote and increase awareness of BMS oncology therapies within the assigned territory.
Achieve defined sales objectives by effectively communicating product value and clinical benefits to healthcare professionals.
Identify and evaluate sales potential within hospitals, oncology clinics, and healthcare institutions.

Territory and Account Management
Develop and implement territory plans to identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
Maintain strong relationships with oncologists, hospital administrators, and key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem.
Manage customer interactions and maintain accurate records to ensure effective territory coverage.

Healthcare Professional Engagement
Build and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders, oncologists, and healthcare providers.
Collaborate with hospital departments, academic institutions, and medical organizations to support product awareness initiatives.
Manage the process of hospital formulary inclusion to facilitate product availability and adoption.

Scientific Meetings and Educational Programs
Plan and execute scientific meetings, seminars, and educational events with oncologists and healthcare professionals.
Participate in relevant trade exhibitions, conferences, and medical forums to strengthen product visibility and company presence.

Sales Performance and Compliance
Monitor and analyze sales performance and business opportunities within the territory.
Maintain Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) parameters in line with company guidelines.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Pharmacovigilance and Safety Reporting
Report adverse events and safety information in accordance with Bristol Myers Squibb pharmacovigilance procedures and standard operating processes.

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of oncology therapies and the pharmaceutical sales environment.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong territory management, planning, and time management abilities.
Analytical skills to identify business opportunities and monitor market trends.
Ability to work independently in a field-based environment while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams.

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience Requirements
Minimum 5–8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with a strong focus on oncology therapies.
Proven track record of consistent sales performance in the oncology segment.
Experience working with thought leaders, oncologists, and healthcare institutions.
Good understanding of corporate hospital systems, government healthcare accounts, and oncology treatment environments.

Language Requirements
Proficiency in English and Hindi is required for effective communication with healthcare professionals and internal teams.

Work Environment and Travel Requirements
This is a field-based position requiring regular travel within the assigned territory to meet healthcare professionals, attend medical meetings, and support business activities.
