Role Overview

The Senior Manager – Identity & Access Management (IAM) will provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise IAM services. This role is responsible for driving secure, scalable access management solutions, leading high-performing teams, and improving service delivery through automation, data-driven insights, and continuous process optimization.

The position blends technical expertise, people leadership, and service governance, ensuring IAM capabilities align with business objectives, security standards, and global operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor IAM team members to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation

  • Promote cross-training and knowledge sharing to reduce single points of failure and build resilient global teams

  • Encourage participation in professional development, mentorship programs, and stretch assignments

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline IAM workflows and eliminate operational inefficiencies

  • Champion automation and AI-driven solutions to reduce manual effort and improve service consistency

  • Enhance shift handoff processes to support global coverage and sustainable work-life balance

Service Delivery & Governance

  • Oversee end-to-end IAM service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs, security standards, and customer expectations

  • Establish strong partnerships with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT teams through regular engagement

  • Support IAM lifecycle management, including the identification and retirement of legacy systems and inactive digital assets

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service health, efficiency, and team performance

  • Leverage data-driven insights to enable proactive decision-making and continuous service optimization


Education & Experience Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a people or service leadership role

  • Proven experience in Identity and Access Management service delivery and operational governance

  • Demonstrated success in process improvement, KPI-driven performance management, and service optimization


Required Skills & Expertise

Technical & Domain Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of IAM technologies and processes, including:

    • User directories and identity repositories

    • Account and access lifecycle management

    • Single Sign-On (SSO) and authentication methods

    • Security controls, access governance, and compliance

    • IAM support for mergers and acquisitions

    • Change management and stakeholder communications

Professional & Leadership Skills

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning capabilities

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environments

  • Solid understanding of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL, Lean, or Six Sigma

  • Strong interest in staying current with IAM trends, emerging technologies, and industry standards
