Job Title: Medical Coding Specialist

Job Description:

As a Medical Coding Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of medical coding practices. This position requires expertise in medical coding processes, a focus on process improvement, and the ability to provide training and guidance to the coding team.

Key Responsibilities:

Expert Guidance:

  • Act as the primary resource for medical coding expertise within the team.
  • Provide detailed insights and solutions for complex coding scenarios.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in coding operations and processing workflows.
  • Implement strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Training & Support:

  • Develop comprehensive training materials and modules for the coding team.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's understanding of coding standards and guidelines.
  • Offer ongoing support and mentorship to team members.

Issue Resolution:

  • Address and resolve complex coding issues or disputes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to find solutions for coding-related challenges.

Compliance:

  • Ensure coding practices align with current regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain quality and compliance.

Job Specifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years in medical coding, with specialization in Ancillary or ED Facility coding.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in medical coding software and familiarity with relevant coding standards (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS).

  • General Shift / Day Shift

Work Mode:

  • Work From Office (WFO)
