Overview:
Baxter’s Research and Development teams collaborate cross-functionally to innovate and introduce creative solutions for global patient needs. From scientists to engineers, your work contributes to creating products that save and sustain lives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems, including plastic/sheet metal parts, enclosures, and structures.

  • Participate in off-the-shelf parts/module selection.

  • Create proof-of-concept prototypes using fabrication and rapid prototype techniques.

  • Perform hand calculations using first principles and tolerance stack-up analysis.

  • Create drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

  • Inspect, test, and qualify parts.

  • Contribute to feasibility and verification testing.

  • Document design records, test protocols, and test reports.

What You'll Bring:

  • Sound knowledge of Mechanical Design Concepts (design calculations, materials, engineering mechanics).

  • Proficiency in reading and creating mechanical drawings.

  • Hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

  • Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is an added advantage.

  • Experience with an electromechanical project demonstrating relevant skills during academics.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
