Overview:
Baxter’s Research and Development teams collaborate cross-functionally to innovate and introduce creative solutions for global patient needs. From scientists to engineers, your work contributes to creating products that save and sustain lives.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems, including plastic/sheet metal parts, enclosures, and structures.
Participate in off-the-shelf parts/module selection.
Create proof-of-concept prototypes using fabrication and rapid prototype techniques.
Perform hand calculations using first principles and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Create drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Inspect, test, and qualify parts.
Contribute to feasibility and verification testing.
Document design records, test protocols, and test reports.
What You'll Bring:
Sound knowledge of Mechanical Design Concepts (design calculations, materials, engineering mechanics).
Proficiency in reading and creating mechanical drawings.
Hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is an added advantage.
Experience with an electromechanical project demonstrating relevant skills during academics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
