Team Leader – Medical Communications | Novartis, Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

Novartis is hiring a Team Leader – Medical Communications to manage end-to-end delivery of medical communication projects for US Medical Affairs. This leadership role is ideal for experienced professionals in pharmaceutical communications who are passionate about driving high-quality deliverables, leading teams, and collaborating across functions to ensure scientific excellence and timely execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of medical communications projects for assigned brands.

  • Oversee quality control, team workflow, and issue resolution to ensure compliance and efficiency.

  • Manage team priorities, resource allocation, and workload tracking to meet project goals.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, innovation, and operational excellence.

  • Foster team development through coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews.

  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, compliance standards, and inspection readiness.

  • Maintain stakeholder communication, deliver project updates, and manage expectations.

  • Report KPIs and take proactive actions to improve performance metrics.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: M.Sc. or M.Pharm in scientific disciplines (preferred: PhD, MBBS/MD, or MBA).

  • Experience: 3–6 years in medical communications within pharma or agency settings.

  • Leadership: 2–4 years of team management experience.

  • Strong understanding of medical communications workflows and project management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and pharmaceutical compliance practices.
