Job Summary:
Eurofins Professional Scientific Services is hiring a Technical Manager – Clinical Trial Testing for its West Point, PA location. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for experienced professionals in clinical trials, GMP/GLP, PCR, and robotics with leadership and team management expertise. The Technical Manager will play a key role in building and managing a team supporting critical pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clinical testing processes, ensuring the highest quality and regulatory compliance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Associate Technical Director in building and managing a team of approximately 60 employees.
Provide technical expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Oversee training and development of new and existing employees.
Manage Group Leaders and SMEs across multiple shifts.
Ensure effective scheduling and operations to meet testing and delivery targets.
Lead recruitment efforts and drive down recruitment turnaround times (TATs).
Promote staff retention and career development.
Apply GMP/GLP principles in all operational areas.
Maintain and monitor operational KPIs and contract metrics.
Foster strong client service, teamwork, and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and safety standards.
Engage in strategic planning, succession planning, and process improvements.
Deliver administrative support including attendance at internal and client meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
BS in Biological Sciences or related field with 7+ years of experience, or Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
Proven management and training expertise.
Hands-on clinical trial experience.
Proficiency with robotics, PCR, oligonucleotides, plasmids.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of clinical trial experience.
3+ years of managerial experience.
Experience in vaccine testing.
