Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical Lead – Medical Coding (Healthcare) with 8–12 years of experience in medical coding and healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM). This hybrid role, based in Hyderabad, requires night shift availability and offers the opportunity to lead medical coding operations, optimize processes, and enhance healthcare product offerings.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in coding standards with leadership skills to guide a team, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee medical coding operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with industry standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize healthcare product offerings and RCM processes.

  • Analyze coding data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for operational improvement.

  • Implement strategies to enhance financial outcomes through optimized coding and billing processes.

  • Mentor and support junior coding staff to enhance skill sets and maintain high-quality standards.

  • Develop, update, and maintain documentation, SOPs, and coding policies.

  • Conduct regular audits to maintain coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.

  • Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to keep the team informed.

  • Support the creation of training materials and programs for medical coding staff.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve coding-related issues.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance coding workflows and operational efficiency.


Required Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in medical coding and healthcare RCM.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare products and their application in revenue cycle operations.

  • Proficiency in medical coding standards and practices (ICD, CPT, HCPCS).

  • Proven track record of optimizing coding operations and implementing process improvements.

  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid night-shift model.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Relevant certifications in medical coding and revenue cycle management:

    • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

    • Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)
