Associate Director - Health Outcomes Liaison - Oncology, Southeastern Region
Location: Remote, Indiana, United States

Purpose:
The Outcomes Liaison (OL) team bridges Lilly and value-based decision makers such as payers, health systems, research institutions, and policy makers. The OL role provides evidence-based answers to customer inquiries with clinical, HEOR, and real-world evidence (RWE) to support formulary access and pathway decisions affecting millions of patients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer Support:

  • Deliver and utilize clinical, value, and outcomes evidence, including observational research and pharmacoeconomic data, to address customer needs.
  • Translate complex information and data into actionable insights for value-based decision makers.
  • Collaborate with population health decision makers to understand and address their information needs.
  • Develop and execute the medical/HEOR strategy by partnering with internal and field-based teams to enhance customer experiences.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for disease state information, health outcomes research, quality measures, and healthcare policy.

Evidentiary Support & Innovative Collaborations:

  • Apply clinical, analytic, and environmental knowledge to foster research collaborations and value-based arrangements (VBAs).
  • Share customer insights, evidence gaps, and stakeholder needs internally to influence strategic efforts.
  • Build proactive medical/HEOR relationships leading to innovative collaborations.

US Healthcare System & Environmental Expertise:

  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and customer needs in the evolving healthcare ecosystem.
  • Stay informed about emerging science, environmental trends, and healthcare policy changes.
  • Provide expertise to customers and internal partners on disease states, HEOR, RWE, and value-based care.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, MS, MSN, MPH) in a scientific or health-related field with relevant health science or outcomes experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health-related field with 5+ years of experience in health science or outcomes.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the US healthcare system and value-based decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively.
  • Experience in oncology treatment or management.
  • Expertise in HEOR principles, real-world data analysis, and value assessment.
  • Success in managing priorities and multitasking.
  • Experience in field-based, customer-facing roles in medical, clinical development, government affairs, HEOR, or managed care.

Additional Information:

  • Focus on oncology portfolio and health systems/organized medical groups.
  • Must reside within driving distance of a major airport in TX, LA, FL, NC, GA, SC, AL, MS, or AR.
  • Field-based role in the Southeastern US with up to 50% travel required.
  • Ability to utilize field-based electronic communication tools effectively.

Compensation:

  • Anticipated wage: $145,500 - $213,400, depending on education, experience, and location.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus, 401(k), pension, medical, dental, vision, and other comprehensive benefits.
