Clinical Trial Manager – Aligos Therapeutics | South San Francisco, CA

Job Summary

Aligos Therapeutics, a leading clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, is hiring a Clinical Trial Manager to support multiple early-phase clinical programs for chronic hepatitis B, MASH, and COVID-19. Based in South San Francisco, this full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $136,000 to $159,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The role involves full-spectrum clinical trial oversight, vendor management, and regulatory compliance across a dynamic portfolio of investigational drugs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed clinical trial plans in line with industry standards.

  • Manage timelines, study budgets, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Oversee CROs, central labs, and other vendors throughout study lifecycle.

  • Draft, review, and coordinate regulatory documents (protocols, ICFs, CRFs, IBs).

  • Set up and maintain (e)TMF, ensuring GCP compliance and inspection readiness.

  • Lead data review and contribute to final clinical study reports.

  • Support drug supply logistics in collaboration with CMC teams.

  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across studies.

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to SOP/process improvement initiatives.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or RN degree (required).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical operations/monitoring in pharma, biotech, or CRO.

  • Hands-on experience with early-stage clinical trials, especially in NASH, antivirals, or infectious diseases.

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA, and EMEA regulations.

  • Experience in vendor management and cross-functional coordination.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in clinical systems and documentation practices.
