About the Role

Parexel is hiring a Contract Specialist to support proposal development, contract development, budgeting, client negotiations, and related commercial activities within the clinical research environment.

The role involves working closely with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project teams, finance, tax, and external clients to develop accurate proposals, budgets, and contracts while meeting strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development

  • Review and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), study protocols, and study synopses.

  • Coordinate with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

  • Support proposal preparation, budget development, and review.

  • Prepare and modify proposals and budgets based on SME feedback.

  • Manage the RFP process from receipt through final delivery.

  • Identify potential RFP risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Obtain third-party quotes when required.

  • Ensure proposals and budgets align with client requirements and internal assumptions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and update relevant systems for metrics and KPI reporting.

Contract Development

  • Create and finalize budgets and contracts according to departmental SOPs and work instructions.

  • Amend project budgets in collaboration with project and functional teams.

  • Use internal tools and reports to make appropriate client budget amendments.

  • Develop contract strategies and plans for client delivery and signature.

  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables within strict deadlines.

  • Participate in relevant internal and external meetings.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Lead or facilitate client meetings for cost and contract-term negotiations when required.

  • Prepare draft contracts using Parexel templates.

  • Identify contractual issues requiring input from Finance, Tax, or other internal departments.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and update systems used for metrics and KPIs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage workload, priorities, and deadlines.

  • Prepare detailed handovers before planned leave.

  • Develop proposal and contract plans.

  • Organize work priorities and deliverables.

  • Map client bid grids with support when required.

Previous experience in proposal development is an advantage.

Experience working in multinational or multicultural organizations is also preferred.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

  • MBA is preferred.
