Position Summary

The Executive - Labeling will be responsible for managing labeling updates and maintenance activities related to new product development and product lifecycle management for the Canada market. The role involves coordinating artwork creation and updates, preparing regulatory labeling submissions, maintaining regulatory trackers, and ensuring timely compliance with Health Canada requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Labeling and Regulatory Submissions

  • Prepare and submit labeling-related regulatory documents for Health Canada submissions.

  • Support new product development and lifecycle management labeling activities.

  • Prepare and update product labels and product monographs for Canada and U.S. markets.

  • Author responses to regulatory authority queries and assess the applicability of labeling changes.

  • Define priorities for labeling requirements and plan submissions accordingly.

  • Manage final product submissions and support timely regulatory approvals.

Artwork and Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and affiliates for artwork creation and updates.

  • Ensure packaging artwork and labeling materials are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor artwork timelines and support timely implementation of label updates.

Regulatory Systems and Documentation

  • Maintain and update regulatory databases and tracking systems including:

    • RIMS

    • CCR

    • Label Tracking Sheets

    • ESG Submission Records

  • Maintain submission acknowledgements and supporting documentation.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and record management for all labeling activities.

Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Health Canada and international labeling regulations.

  • Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, quality, safety, and company standards.

  • Perform work in accordance with established SOPs and compliance programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Quality, and external affiliates.

  • Communicate effectively with regional teams and regulatory authorities.

  • Support departmental initiatives and continuous process improvement activities.

Qualifications

Education

  • M.Pharm, B.Pharm, or equivalent degree.

Experience

  • Prior labeling experience in regulated markets such as:

    • Canada (Health Canada)

    • United States (USFDA)

    • Europe

    • Rest of World (ROW)
