Job Summary
We are seeking experienced HCC Coders to join our growing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team in Ambattur, Chennai. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in medical coding, clinical documentation, and compliance standards, who are committed to accuracy and continuous improvement.
As an HCC Coder, you will play a key role in identifying patient diagnoses, assigning accurate codes, and mapping conditions to Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC), contributing directly to healthcare reimbursement and quality reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical records to identify patient diagnoses and treatments
Assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes
Map diagnoses to Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC)
Ensure coding accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory guidelines
Audit records and documentation to maintain quality standards
Provide feedback and support to physicians and healthcare providers
Educate team members on clinical documentation and coding guidelines
Support process improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to internal quality standards
Experience & Qualification Requirements
6 months to 4 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in HCC
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Sound knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and HEDIS CAT II codes
HCC Coding Certification is preferred but not mandatory
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
