Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AGM/DGM – Manufacturing Finance to lead financial planning, reporting, and operational finance functions for formulation manufacturing operations. The role focuses on budgeting, cost control, MIS development, procurement finance, and inventory optimization to support efficient manufacturing and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing finance, cost management, and operational analytics within pharmaceutical formulation operations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Prepare annual operating plans and budgets for manufacturing operations, capturing key operational and financial targets for API and FDF units.

  • Develop and maintain MIS structures to monitor all relevant KPIs for manufacturing performance.

2. Operations Performance Monitoring

  • Review monthly operational performance with site teams and provide actionable insights to senior management.

  • Prepare management presentations highlighting financial and operational performance metrics.

3. Cost Control & Optimization

  • Identify and implement cost control and reduction initiatives.

  • Monitor Capex proposals and recommend financial strategies for investment approvals.

  • Optimize idle time and operational efficiency in manufacturing units.

4. Procurement Finance & Vendor Management

  • Oversee procurement finance activities, including MIS reporting and budgeting.

  • Control, monitor, and approve vendor debit notes to ensure financial compliance.

5. Inventory & Product Cost Management

  • Monitor inventory levels, implement frameworks for slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and minimize losses.

  • Review quarterly inventory provisions for quarterly and annual accounts.

  • Responsible for product cost calculation, review, and monitoring to support pricing and profitability decisions.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or equivalent degree.

  • Experience: 15–20 years in manufacturing finance, preferably in pharmaceutical formulation units.

  • Strong expertise in budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, and inventory management.

  • Proven experience in MIS development, operational KPIs tracking, and vendor finance management.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
