Job Summary

Abbott, a globally recognized healthcare leader with operations in over 160 countries, is hiring a Senior Field Clinical Specialist for its Vascular Division. This fully remote, field-based role is ideal for highly experienced clinical professionals with strong expertise in cath lab procedures and medical device technologies.

The Senior Field Clinical Specialist will serve as a key contributor within Global Clinical Affairs, providing leadership and execution support across clinical trials, investigator engagement, regulatory coordination, and post-market data activities. This role plays a critical part in advancing innovative, minimally invasive vascular therapies that improve patient outcomes worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Trials & Research Execution

  • Support the implementation of clinical protocols and facilitate timely completion of clinical study reports.

  • Direct and support Phase III and Phase IV human clinical trials for vascular products under development.

  • Monitor study progress, protocol adherence, and determine study completion readiness.

Investigator & Site Engagement

  • Identify, recruit, and support clinical investigators; collaborate on study design and cost negotiations.

  • Coordinate investigator site initiations, monitoring activities, and group clinical studies.

  • Act as a trusted clinical liaison between Abbott and investigative sites.

Regulatory & Safety Support

  • Participate in adverse event reporting and ongoing safety monitoring activities.

  • Coordinate and prepare clinical data and reports for submission to regulatory authorities.

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, and Product Development.

  • Act as a consultant or liaison with external partners and corporations under licensing or collaboration agreements when required.


Education & Experience Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (mandatory).

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Cath Lab and/or medical device environments.

  • Strong clinical background in interventional cardiology or vascular procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant healthcare or life sciences discipline.

  • Experience with coronary and peripheral vascular technologies.

  • Prior involvement in clinical trial support and product development initiatives.

  • Background as a Cath Lab Technician or Surgical Technician.

  • Experience with OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) systems and advanced medical devices.
