Eurofins PSS is seeking a Technical Manager to play a key role in establishing and managing a clinical trial testing lab in collaboration with a PSS client site. This leader will support the hiring and management of a team of ~60 employees, ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
Support the Associate Technical Director in hiring, training, and managing a team of ~60 employees.
Oversee training programs for new hires.
Manage Group Leaders/SMEs, ensuring efficient workflow and performance.
Drive employee retention by supporting career growth and development.
Participate in strategic planning, succession planning, and employee engagement.
Serve as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for clinical trial testing methodologies.
Oversee the daily operations of laboratory services, ensuring compliance with GMP/GLP standards.
Ensure efficient scheduling of laboratory staff to meet testing expectations.
Implement and maintain high-quality standards in all testing procedures.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver metrics to the Associate Director and client contacts.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and regulatory standards.
Drive continuous process improvements for efficiency and quality.
Foster strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and proactive issue resolution.
Manage communication with cross-functional teams and shift leaders to streamline operations.
Participate in company and client meetings, providing updates and strategic insights.
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field.
7+ years of industry experience OR 3+ years with an advanced degree.
Clinical trial experience.
Management and training experience.
Expertise in robotics and laboratory automation.
Hands-on experience with PCR, Oligonucleotides, Plasmids.
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD).
5+ years of clinical trial experience.
3+ years of management experience.
Experience in vaccine testing.
Full-time, Monday – Friday (First Shift) with some support required outside standard hours.
Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to West Point, PA.
