Job Summary
A reputed healthcare and RCM solutions company is hiring an Assistant Manager – Quality Coding (IP DRG) for its Hyderabad, Telangana office. This is a leadership role requiring 6–8 years of experience in hospital facility IP DRG coding with expertise in MS DRG, APR DRG, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-PCS. The position offers a competitive salary range of ₹15–25 LPA and an opportunity to lead a quality-focused team in medical coding.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage a team of coding professionals to ensure quality compliance.
Oversee IP DRG coding processes, including MS DRG, APR DRG, and CMS IPPS methodologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders, MIS teams, and training units for quality improvements.
Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Participate in client calls, ensuring alignment with client quality expectations.
Respond to compliance inquiries, audits, and coding-related clarifications.
Coach, mentor, and guide team members to improve coding accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and OIG standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
6–8 years of experience in hospital facility IP DRG coding.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, UHDDS guidelines, and query processes.
Expertise in human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and operative reports.
Strong understanding of CMS IPPS payment methodologies and DRG reimbursement processes.
Familiarity with compliance standards to avoid up-coding, down-coding, and fraudulent practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer operations.
