Job Overview

The Lead Analyst / Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for managing Accounts Receivable (AR) Follow-Up operations as a frontline manager. The role focuses on driving team performance, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining productivity and quality standards, and supporting revenue cycle management (RCM) objectives. The position requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, coaching abilities, and expertise in healthcare revenue cycle processes.


Role Objective

  • Manage AR Follow-Up teams as a frontline operations leader.

  • Drive team performance and ensure achievement of Key Result Areas (KRAs).

  • Maintain productivity, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency across the assigned process.


Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

  • Assign daily work and manage workload distribution across team members.

  • Monitor team productivity and ensure achievement of operational targets.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  • Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and professional development.

  • Build a positive and high-performance work culture.

  • Manage employee engagement, absenteeism, and attrition within organizational targets.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and team development activities as required.

Operations Management

  • Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and operational tasks.

  • Monitor workflow and ensure adherence to process guidelines.

  • Prepare and review daily operational reports and team performance dashboards.

  • Track and analyze operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Drive process efficiency and operational excellence initiatives.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management

  • Manage AR Follow-Up activities and team performance.

  • Review and monitor AR queues to ensure timely resolution.

  • Handle and support escalations related to:

    • Insurance Follow-Up

    • Payor Rejections

    • Claim Denials

    • Revenue Recovery Activities

  • Ensure effective management of aging accounts and outstanding receivables.

  • Support denial analysis and resolution strategies.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, client requirements, and process guidelines.

  • Maintain productivity and quality standards defined for the process.

  • Conduct operational training and quality coaching sessions.

  • Monitor process adherence and identify corrective actions where necessary.

  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate and analyze operational reports and performance metrics.

  • Identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Present operational insights and recommendations to management.

  • Support data-driven decision-making through analytical reporting.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

  • Escalate operational risks and issues appropriately.

  • Support communication between team members and leadership.

  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and internal teams.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in:

    • Healthcare Administration

    • Life Sciences

    • Commerce

    • Business Administration

    • Related Discipline

  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered.


Experience (Minimum Required)

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in:

    • Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

    • Healthcare Operations

    • Accounts Receivable (AR) Follow-Up

    • Medical Billing Operations

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • AR Queues

    • Insurance Claims Processing

    • Payor Rejections

    • Denial Management

    • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Processes

  • Experience leading teams and managing operational performance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience conducting coaching, mentoring, and performance management activities.
