Job Overview
Sanofi is seeking an Expert Scientific Writer to lead the development of complex scientific and medical communication materials across therapeutic areas. The role involves managing end-to-end publication and medical education content development while ensuring scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality deliverables.

The Expert Scientific Writer will collaborate with global scientific communication teams, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders to produce high-impact scientific publications and educational materials.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Content Development

  • Develop complex scientific and medical communication materials including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, and educational resources.

  • Manage the end-to-end publication development process including documentation, review, and approval within platforms such as PromoMats and iEnvision.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Publication Practices and internal documentation standards.

Therapeutic Area Expertise

  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in assigned therapeutic areas and medical communication processes.

  • Act as a subject matter expert supporting the scientific communication team in therapeutic area insights and publication planning.

Publication Strategy and Planning

  • Support publication planning activities including identifying publication needs and executing annual publication strategies.

  • Assist scientific communication teams in performing publication needs analysis and implementing publication plans for assigned regions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Maintain effective relationships with the global medical and scientific community within assigned therapeutic areas and product teams.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and internal medical teams to develop relevant and customized scientific communication materials.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across medical, commercial, and operational units.

Content Quality and Review

  • Review and provide guidance on content developed by senior and junior scientific writers.

  • Ensure high scientific quality, clarity, and consistency across medical communication deliverables.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of scientific writing best practices.

Training and Knowledge Sharing

  • Support the training and development of scientific writers by sharing expertise and best practices.

  • Assist in enhancing team capabilities through knowledge transfer and mentoring activities.

Vendor and Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners to ensure timely delivery of publication and medical communication materials.

  • Manage project timelines and ensure deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong expertise in medical communications and scientific writing within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Knowledge of Good Publication Practices and publication submission processes.

  • Ability to develop and review complex scientific publications and educational materials.
