We are seeking a Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) for Kolkata to provide scientific and medical support to our EPD Medical Organization in a non-commercial capacity, ensuring evidence-based engagement with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.

Role Overview:
The Regional Medical Advisor acts as a scientific and medical expert within a designated therapeutic area, supporting both clinical projects and medical affairs initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager RMA or Head RMA, the RMA interfaces with internal teams—including Medical Managers, Clinical Research Managers, and Medical Advisors—as well as external stakeholders such as physicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and academic institutions. This role is focused on delivering scientific credibility, fostering professional relationships, and supporting clinical and medical projects in alignment with regulatory and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and technical support to physicians, key opinion leaders, and academic centers, ensuring access to current and evidence-based medical information.

  • Develop, design, and execute high-science activities and educational programs to support therapy shaping in the assigned therapeutic area.

  • Assist in initiation, oversight, and follow-up of clinical studies and medical projects, including post-marketing studies (Phase IV), registries, epidemiological surveys, and Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS).

  • Deliver unbiased, high-quality scientific presentations to healthcare professionals individually or in group settings such as clinical meetings, symposia, and congresses.

  • Contribute to the selection of qualified physicians for collaborative initiatives, ensuring high scientific and educational integrity in partnerships.

  • Maintain up-to-date scientific knowledge to enable informed scientific dialogue with physicians and KOLs.

  • Ensure all activities comply with local, national, and global regulations, industry guidelines, SOPs, and company policies.

Technical Competencies:

  • Therapeutic area expertise and knowledge of clinical evidence.

  • Strong management, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Compliance awareness and ability to ensure process adherence.

  • Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and priority-setting capabilities.

Key Interfaces:

  • Internal: Clinical Research Managers, Clinical Operations Managers, Medical Advisors, Medical Information Specialists, Pharmacovigilance/Drug Safety teams, and Marketing personnel.

  • External: Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, patients (through awareness programs), participating research investigators, key opinion leaders, and scientific/medical societies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Medical, Pharmacy, or Science Graduate with relevant clinical or medical affairs experience.

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or related pharmaceutical functions.

  • Proven experience engaging with KOLs and healthcare professionals.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, clinical study processes, and medical education initiatives.
