Job Overview
Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS) is seeking a Senior Executive – TSD to support the scale-up and technical transfer of new pharmaceutical products. This role involves coordinating cross-functionally with R&D, QA, QC, Production, and EHS teams, conducting lab trials, and generating data to facilitate smooth process scale-up and validation. The position is ideal for candidates with strong process engineering skills and hands-on experience in pharmaceutical product development.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Process Development
Support smooth execution of new product introductions during Technology & Validation (T&V) phases.
Participate in lab trials to understand critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs).
Conduct lab experiments to generate scale-up data for commercial production.
Prepare Process Data Sheets, mass/energy balances, and engineering calculations for lab and plant scale.
Assist in scale-up strategy, equipment mapping, and preparation of validation batches.
Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Monitor batch operations, troubleshoot deviations, and prepare Technical Investigation Reports with CAPA.
Conduct HAZOP and HIRA studies for new and modified processes.
Support change control documentation and ensure adherence to departmental standards.
Promote GMP and EHS compliance as an integral part of process operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Requirements
B.Tech in Chemical Engineering (mandatory).
Professional Experience
2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical process development, scale-up, or technical services.
Hands-on exposure to laboratory trials, process scale-up, and validation activities.
Familiarity with cross-functional coordination in R&D, QA/QC, Production, and EHS.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in process development.
Knowledge of GMP, cGMP, and EHS compliance standards.
Ability to prepare technical reports, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Effective communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
