Senior Field Clinical Specialist – Vascular Division

Role Overview:
Abbott’s Vascular division is seeking a Senior Field Clinical Specialist to join its Global Clinical Affairs team. This fully remote role is ideal for experienced clinical professionals with strong expertise in clinical trial support, medical devices, and Cath Lab procedures. The Senior Field Clinical Specialist is a key resource for overseeing study planning, execution, and reporting while ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support clinical protocols, ensuring completion of clinical study reports.

  • Recruit and manage clinical investigators; negotiate study designs and associated costs.

  • Direct and oversee human clinical trials, including Phase III & IV studies.

  • Monitor safety and adverse event reporting in collaboration with pharmacovigilance teams.

  • Coordinate reporting to regulatory agencies and ensure adherence to study protocols.

  • Manage investigator initiations and support multi-center clinical studies.

  • Serve as a consultant or liaison with other corporations under licensing or collaboration agreements.

  • Provide scientific and technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

  • Travel up to 80% for site visits, investigator meetings, and clinical activities.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Required: Associate’s degree with 7+ years of Cath Lab and/or Medical Device experience.

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Demonstrated expertise in coronary and peripheral vascular technologies.

  • Clinical trial support and product development experience.

  • Cath Lab or surgical tech background preferred.

  • Experience with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is an advantage.
