Job Description:
IQVIA is hiring a Medical Surveillance Specialist 1 to support clinical study safety monitoring through the evaluation of laboratory data, medical narrative composition, and close collaboration with investigator sites and central laboratories. This role involves real-time lab data review and preliminary analysis to ensure protocol adherence and subject safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and evaluate daily clinical laboratory results from sponsor-designated central labs.
Analyze lab data using the eDC platform or data management systems per protocol-specific guidelines.
Compare results with prior data to identify clinically significant trends or abnormalities.
Contact investigator sites for additional subject information when needed.
Act as liaison between the Medical Services Department, Project Team, and central lab.
Identify and report significant lab data trends or shifts to Medical Advisors.
Support lab monitoring activities and participate in project setup tasks.
Attend project team meetings and contribute to communication of findings.
Stay updated with laboratory science through continuing education or seminars.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Medical Surveillance Specialist.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, or related healthcare/medical field (including allopathy, homeopathy, Ayurveda, dentistry).
2 to 6 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2.5 years in medical surveillance (required).
Strong understanding of clinical laboratory data and surveillance techniques.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in data management and word processing tools.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and maintain effective professional relationships.

Estimated Salary: ₹6,00,000 – ₹10,00,000 per annum (based on experience and location standards)
