Role Overview

Labcorp is seeking an experienced LCMS Method Development Scientist III to join the bioanalytical team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will lead method development for a diverse portfolio of molecules across multiple species and matrices. You will act as the scientific lead in troubleshooting, method optimization, and technical support, serving as a subject matter expert for both internal teams and clients.

This position offers opportunities to publish research, present scientific findings, and contribute to cutting-edge bioanalytical development projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate highly sensitive, reliable LC/MS/MS assays for pharmaceuticals in biological fluids and tissues.

  • Conduct complex analytical methods, applying scientific problem-solving to novel and challenging scenarios.

  • Lead scientific approaches in bioanalytical and mass spectrometry studies, interpreting experimental data in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Act as a technical advisor within cross-functional project teams.

  • Respond efficiently to unscheduled deadlines, client requests, and urgent project needs without compromising quality.

  • Produce method development reports, analytical documentation, and scientific publications.

  • Participate in client visits and technical discussions, representing Labcorp’s expertise.

  • Contribute to long-term planning and departmental technical policies.

  • Support method development for specialized molecules such as oligonucleotides, ADCs, or biologics.


Required Education & Experience

  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent degree with approximately 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Proven expertise in LC/MS/MS, HPLC, and other analytical instrumentation.

  • Demonstrated experience in analytical method development, validation, and bioanalytical research.

  • Skilled in data compilation, interpretation, reporting, and regulatory-compliant documentation.

  • Experience in scientific presentations and publication preparation.

  • Familiarity with laboratory automation software, system software, and Microsoft applications.

  • Prior experience with oligonucleotides, ADCs, or similar method development is highly desirable.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $62,000 – $155,000 per annum (based on experience, skills, and internal equity).
